The original Kustom went bankrupt in the late 70s or maybe about 1980. And it has been in a low-humidity environment for most of its life. The revived Kustom amps are generally good decent and even sometimes great amps and certainly vastly more reliable. On the sides and top of the amp All the knobs, the handles, the 15-foot power cord, even the silver trim around the knobs, and corner protective brackets are almost like new. No cuts in the tolex covering (or whatever it is) There isn't a cut, tear or imperfection to be seen. Other than a few very minor "owies" on the back, the amp is flawless. If you even find one, it likely won't be as nice. You don't see many of these amps anymore, and none in this fabulous condition. It's been my practice amp for 45 years and it's never been in the shop. With all these controls, there are a multitude of tonal choices for both guitar and bass. They were the same amp inside as Kustom but without the plush covers. Never anything but reliable, the amp is all original, and it's big enough for most jobs. Kasino amps were made in the 1970s another quality product of Kustom Electronic s, Chanute Kansas. It has 200 watts of power and a couple of 15" speakers which sound flawless. I've seen both five and six-digit serial numbers on others. The serial number on this one is 4XXX, which would make it one of the earliest Kasino amps. They were originally made in Chanute, Kansas-where this one was produced in 1972. Kasino 200 amplifiers were made by Kustom-you remember the padded vintage amps that came out in various colors a half century ago.
